Interview with Reid Jajko


Brüel & Kjær Vibro (B&K Vibro) has been acquired by NSK in March 2021 and a lot has happened since the acquisition. Making an acquisition work is a monumental task! Many strategical and operational decisions were made in the last months. One of the decisions was to hire Reid Jajko as the new General Manager for the American market.

It’s all about synergies

Reid brings a vast amount of experience to the team. In the last 11 years, he has been in a VP position for NSK Americas managing the aftermarket segment. “I’ve always been passionate about improving overall equipment effectiveness.”, Reid points out. Both NSK and B&K Vibro want to reduce unexpected downtime and improve machine performance for customers. Naturally, there is a great synergy effect between them.

Exciting things to come for B&K Vibro in America

There are many opportunities in the American market. Not just our technologies, but also the resources and services we are providing will be an essential tool for our customers to keep their machines going. “We truly want to understand our customer’s everyday problems. It’s about implementing the right technology that fits their specific needs and not just closing a sale”, announces Reid. We will continue to invest in relationships with channel partners and help customers to solve their everyday problems!

We have the right people  

When we asked Reid about his first impression, he smiled and said “The first thing that astounded me was the passion I could feel when I walked into this new position. Everybody really wants to solve customer problems. We have a great team of knowledgeable and experienced people in America.”

B&K Vibro will focus on how we can simplify applications and processes to make sure customers get what they need. Of course, all of this would not be possible without the right people. Therefore, we will continue to invest in resources and hire more A-players to drive the business forward. Our company wants to help customers as well as channel partner to be their best and drive profitability.

Finally, when we asked Reid about his future plans, he answered “We have an exciting future ahead with good technology and strong people. We will be a company that executes, and operational excellence is critical to us. I’m very enthusiastic and I believe the sky is the limit!”
