Diagnostics with Vibration Monitoring
There is an enormous amount of research being conducted today to find effective models or algorithms that can automatically diagnose incipient faults. We also developed our own neural-network based automatic expert diagnosis system, ADVISOR, which has been successfully used in many industries for the last 15 years. Such intelligent methodologies have been proven to greatly reduce the work load of a condition monitoring specialist who is often responsible for watching over several hundred machines in some of the larger plants. But it is important to understand that such systems are intended to help specialists, not replace them.
