Thermal Power Generation
Most fossil-fuelled power stations are used as base- or middle-load power stations. In these applications in particular, the highly sensitive monitoring of the normal operation and the analysis of run-up and run-down procedures is of significant importance.
The operating condition dependant monitoring of the normal operation enables abnormal deviations of the behaviour of the machine to be recognised at an early stage.
As in other applications for power generation, some main characteristics of modern monitoring and diagnostic systems are
- Parallel, rotor triggered data acquisition for fault analysis
- Data acquisition with ampitude and phase
- Reliable recognition and reaction response to abnormal machinery behaviour
- Integration of parallel acquired process variables
