The successful introduction of the new Compass 6000 platform confirms Brüel & Kjær Vibro’s commitment to state of the art integrated machine protection and condition monitoring systems. In response to strong market demand for a transformation in the way condition monitoring is conducted, Brüel & Kjær Vibro have invested significant resources and technical expertise to develop the Compass 6000 platform. Not merely a modification or extension of existing functionality, the Compass 6000 platform represents a total bottom up transformation with one primary goal; to assist industry in maximizing machinery uptime, while optimizing machine efficiency and reliability with reduced maintenance costs. | |
| VIBROCONTROL 1500 in a protective housing | |

After the announcement of our new product VIBROCONTROL 1500 in our newsletter of June 2009, we are pleased to inform you about a further expansion of our product range. New in the product range from March 2010 will be the mounting of VIBROCONTROL 1500 in an AC-2112 protective housing, which complies with IP65. This housing provides optimum protection against environmental conditions. It provides sufficient space for one VIBROCONTROL 1500 instrument, including the AC-4111 power supply for the power requirement. All the display values are visible through the glass front window even when the housing is closed. |

Comfortable operations and setting up of the parameters of the VIBROCONTROL 1500 is possible with the soon to be released Control Center Software. Efficient remote monitoring is realized this way. The Functional Intelligence of the VIBROCONTROL 1500 such as rolling-element bearing monitoring, frequency analysis, trends and Post Mortem can be clearly used and visualised. Communication between your computer and the connected VIBROCONTROL 1500 is achieved through a CAN-Bus/USB interface converter. |

A case example – Monitoring an airconditioning plant with the Control Center Software. The VIBROCONTROL 1500 was utilized for long-term monitoring of an air-conditioning plant. The picture shows the trend progress of vibration for channels A and B recorded by the Control Center Software. During the course of the trend measurement a service was carried out on the air-conditioning plant. After exchange of the plant filter a reduction of the vibration for 8 to 9 days was recognised. This could be traced back to adaptation of the air-conditioning plant to the new filter. After the adaptation was carried out an increase in the vibration level was recognisable. A subsequent exchange of the drive belt lead to a further clear vibration reduction.
