Example for the installation of a non-contacting displacement measurement chain (DS sensor)

Brüel & Kjaer Vibro offers numerous exactly designed accessories for installation of its range of measurement chains. This will be explained with an example of a non-contacting displacement measurement chain:

The sensor is mounted in a universal sensor holder AC-101 at the machine.

• This sensor holder allows simple adjustment of the sensor position.
• The rear of the sensor holder connects through a transition piece AC-323/3/2/0 (3/4"-14NPT at M14x1) to the terminal head AC-104.
• The terminal head AC-104 protects the sensor connection against environmental influence and mechanical damage.
• At the terminal head AC-104 through another transition piece AC-323/4/2/0 (1/2"NPT at M16x1.5) the protective conduit AC-2201/16 for the sensor connection cable connects to the protective conduit feed-through fitting AC-2202/16.
• The cable protected by the protective conduit feeds through to the oscillator protective housing AC-2106.
• The protective housing can be adapted to the site installation requirements with various mounting flange plates (AC-2107/x).
• The signal cable (AC-112) can be lead over various cable fittings (AC-2511/16) to the measurement electronics.
